1829 Boat Club Trial Fours
On a pleasant autumnal morning 10 OBI and ex-Tabs met down on the Putney hard for a splash about in a couple of fours. Why? The idea was to should the next generation of OBIs and ex-Tabs how easy it is to use the facilities there; how easy it is to just give one of your mates a call and go for a row one Sunday morning; how easy it would be for that to turn into something a little bit more organised; and how easy it might be for that to turn into a competitive result at Henley, or even a little red box with a medal in it.
The result was that there are 4 or 5 people keen on giving Henley a bit of a serious crack this year, be it in the Brit or potentially even the Ladies Plate. Initerested? Get in contact with Pete Hackworth and Matt Smith [Links to email].
Watch this space... they could be the next guys to do this, with an 1829 logo on their oar....
