Bosporos Boat Club Mission Statement
The Club will support OUBC and OUWBC, aim to win at Henley
Royal Regatta and at other events.
Objectives of the club - Rowing

To provide a club and equipment for old OUBC and OUWBC oarsmen
to use

To enter crews at the HORR and Women’s Head, Henley Royal
Regatta and other domestic events

To provide crews to race OUBC/OUWBC in private invitation
races if requested
-
To provide crews to attend overseas OUBC/CUBC invitation
regattas
Objectives of the club - Social
-
To provide a focus for social activity amongst old OUBC/OUWBC
oarsmen. In particular:

an organised drinks party at Henley Royal Regatta each year

an organised Bosporos/OUBC and Bosporos OUWBC event during
the run up to the Boat Race

events on Boat Race day itself

Annual Dinner
Objectives of the club - OUBC

To provide support for OUBC and OUWBC in whatever form that
may take

To provide input from a core group of Old blues and Isis/Osiris
oarsmen to be taken forward to meetings of the Executive Committee of OUBC
Objectives for the year 2000

To raise £15,000 to £25,000 to provide for equipment,
either from donations or by way of subscriptions

To provide a boathouse in London to house the crews and equipment

To attract a core group of oarsmen and women, say 15 of each

To attract as many associate members to the club as possible

To enter at least 1 eight for the HORR and the Women’s Head
-
To enter at least one crew at Henley Royal Regatta/Women’s
Henley

To set up a web-site to provide information for club members
-
To provide a representative to sit on the OUBC executive
committee
